Sertoma 5K In Doylestown, PA
On Friday, May 17, 2013, Horizon Services and the Horizon Helps team were on-site as the primary sponsor and donated custom shirts to all volunteers of the Sertoma 5K event. As part of the 2013 Bucks 5K Series, the race was held in Central Park in Doylestown, Pennsylvania to raise awareness and provide support for local individuals with communication disabilities. The organization’s efforts include providing scholarship and assistive technology in school and public venues to children and adults with hearing impairments.
Bucks County 5K Series
The Bucks County 5K Series is a 501 c (3) non-profit organization that facilitates and coordinates seven 5 kilometer (3.1 mile) road races. These races all benefit worthy causes, provide wholesome family activities, and improve the physical fitness of our communities. There are seven races, all in the spring, and all in central Bucks County. The Board of Directors is comprised of volunteers, with no paid staff. All of the money earned stays locally.

Established in 2010, Horizon Helps is a non-profit, community services organization formed by and comprised of Horizon Services employees volunteering their time to assist, support and raise awareness for charitable causes and community events throughout Delaware, Southeastern Pennsylvania, Gloucester, Camden and Burlington County New Jersey, and Northeastern Maryland.
