Sappy Holiday Hack
How To: Remove Sticky Pine Sap
If you find your hands sticky from pine tree sap after decorating for the holidays or after putting up a freshly cut family Christmas tree, turn to toothpaste for relief instead of soap. Easily remove the sticky substance from your skin by applying a generous dab of toothpaste directly to the sappy area and manually rubbing the toothpaste into the sap. Allow a few minutes for the abrasives in the toothpaste to breakdown the chemicals in the sticky sap, then rinse away the residue using warm water.
