How To: Clean While You Dream
For those who use dryer sheets, there’s a trick that still works with used sheets. I’d suggest doubling up the number of sheets … just to make sure there’s enough of the “non-stickiness” to do the job.
It’s as simple as putting warm water into the dirty pan or cookie sheet (cookie sheet with edges works best), laying the dryer sheets flat in the water and leaving it to sit overnight. In the morning, the food, which once looked like part of the pan, will either have been lifted off, or it’ll be very easy to scrape off with a spatula or another flat object- saving the pan like new. This trick has always worked, especially if you do it right after you’ve used the pan.
